The Rev. Myoung-Ho Sin became the Executive Director in March 2023, replacing the former Executive Director the Rev. Sally Juarez who retired in February. Rev. Myoung is committed to continue the legacy of the Rev. Sally and the Rev. William (Bill) Ng, the resident manager before Rev. Sally, to value diversity, kindness, and love for the community. Before coming to the Berkeley Presbyterian Mission Homes, Rev. Myoung was Assistant Pastor at The Korean Church of Queens and Youth Pastor Symphony Church in San Francisco. He earned his PhD in Theology and Environmental Ethics at the GTU in 2021 and is passionate about topics such as history, theology, environmental economics, the unequal consequences of climate change, and European soccer. As a former GTU student, husband and father, Rev. Myoung is well aware of the hardships of students who need to juggle paying for rent, food, tuition and studying as well as taking care of family. He will do his best that BPMH can continue to offer not only housing but a home community for international faith leaders who work on their degrees.
